About the event

This project was inspired by the Kaweka Community Catchment Collective, who have already trapped the north side of the Tutaekurī. We’re now mirroring that work on the south side, with the goal of having 10km of the Tutaekurī River trapped collectively — a huge win for biodiversity and the health of the river corridor.

We’ll kick off at Omahu Marae at 9.00am with a pōwhiri, followed by a health and safety briefing and a workshop on laying the trapline run by The Pā.

After that we'll get hands on and will be putting in the trapline along the south side of the Tutaekurī.

Food and refreshments will be provided, please send your RSVPS to Jo with any dietary requirements: b2rcoordinators@gmail.com

Please dress accordingly
